The DuPage Homeownership Center was created as a public-private partnership of lenders, realtors, government and social service agencies. Mortgage lenders have the opportunity to join DHOC as a member lender. Membership provides you with opportunities to meet your CRA goals, to generate business leads and to provide help for non-qualified mortgage customers.

Membership Benefits and Dues for Financial Institutions
The following benefits are provided exclusively for our member financial institutions. This membership package would be appropriate for your institution if you are subject to Community Reinvestment Act regulations.
- Promote your financial institution among our clients and receive referrals of prospective homebuyers. Each year, about 800 people attend our educational classes and around 225 families come to the Center for pre-purchase counseling.
- Originate loans for low-income households through the DuPage Homestead and Housing Choice Programs – two proven affordable lending models that help around 50 low-income families become homeowners every year. Our loans qualify for CRA lending test credit.
- Participate in the Annual Home Buyers Fair- a daylong outreach event that provides exhibits, information and workshops, and reaches an average of 400+ homebuyers every year. A great way to generate leads and also qualify for CRA investment and service test credit.
- Speak at our Home Buyer Education Classes, offered twice monthly at various locations in DuPage County with an average of 50 people in attendance per session. A great way to generate business leads and qualify for the CRA service test credit.
- Free counseling to help customers overcome credit and debt issues so that they can qualify for a mortgage. Refer your non-qualified mortgage customers to us, and we will refer them back to you when they are ready to purchase.
- Free home buyer education that qualifies for HUD, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac certification requirements.
- Annual membership dues qualify for CRA investment test credit.
- Serve on the Board of Directors or a committee and receive CRA service test credit.
- Sponsor our Annual Celebration, attracting about 100 industry professionals every year, to receive CRA investment and service test credit as well as to enjoy networking opportunities.
